A few months away from the deadline, applications are emerging. Following the announcement of the candidacy of President Gnassingbe by the Executive Secretary of his party, l’Union pour la République (UNIR). It is now the turn for the l'Alliance nationale pour le changement (ANC), the opposition party, to announce their candidate for the presidential elections.
During a meeting organized by ANC youth in Bè Kodjindji district on Sunday, February 24, 2019, DRAH Seveamenou, the party's former deputy, indicated that his political party already has a name for the candidate of the 2020 presidential election. This candidate is Jean Pierre Fabre, head and founder of the party, he was the obvious choice.
But according to socio-political analysts of Togo, it is too early to conclude that Fabre will be the only candidate of the ANC.
For the 2020 presidential elections, big maneuvers are expected to be set up.
