© Afreepress (Lomé, the 26 nov. 2013) —From 5th to 21st december 2013, a national campaign of information against the violences undergone by women and girls will be held all over the country, learned Afreepress Agency.
Organized by the Minister of Women Promotion, Dédé Ahoéfa Ekoué, few days before the celebration of the international Day for the fight against these violences, aims to sensibilize the populations and makes men, women, girls, old persons get involved in this fight to boot sexual attacks out of Togo.
Only the implication of all Togolese can allow to reach the results of this objective of the high authorities of the country.
« Let’s mobilize, women, men, girls and boys, young and old people to end with the violences undergone by women and girls to enforce the blooming of all citizens, of our families and communities. Together let’s end with the violences undergone by women and girls, let’s say no to impunity and violences such as rape, incest and harassment. We must be together against these violences. It is time to speak up. Together we have to encourage girls and women to say no to those who attack them », claimed the minister.
According to the national reports, 33% of women are victims of sexual attacks but only 10% are denounciated to the authorities.
