The government formed after the legislative elections of 25th July had its first cabinet on Wednesday under the supervision of Faure Gnassingbé, president of Togo. It discusses on a bill aiming at modifying Togolese customs legislation voted in 1966, in order to adapt it on WAMUS and ECOWAS new directions, so that it facilitates free circulation of people and goods.
Two orders were also in schedule. One order adopted concerned the application of law n° 2012-001 of 20th January 2012 related to the investment code of Togo. This code defines warranties and obligations waiting for coming investors.
The second one precises the attributions, the organization and managing of promotion and industrial “zone franche” investment national agency.
The minister of farming and fishing said that the campaign 2013-2014 will have problems because of rain and it will cause serious consequences on agricultural crops especially on maize. The cabinet promised to take precautions in order to assure alimentary security in the country.
