The ambassador of Nigeria in Togo, M. Matthew Adoli held Monday a press conference to condemn the actions of the Islamic sect named Boko Haram.
In his declaration to the press, the diplomat came back to the call made the last 5th August by the sect to the president of Nigeria to ask from him his renunciation of the Christian religion and to regret. “ I ask you Jonathan to get rid of this godless power, you need to regret and to get rid of Christians and Obama who says I have some interests in United States”, claimed Abubakar Shekau, the presumed chief of the religious extremists.
The ambassador reckoned this call was “unacceptable”. According to him, the demand is “intolerable and limited by ignorance and unbelievable lack of patriotism”.
As far as the ambassador is concerned, “Nigeria is secured for investments and tourism”.
Matthew Adoli finally launched an appeal to the Togolese for there is necessity to denounce the actions of Boko Haram. His appeal goes also to the international community to which he asks the refusal of the sign made by Boko Haram.
